Dr. Eisel's career path was set in stone at a very early age and he can't remember a time in his life when he didn't want to be a veterinarian. His mother insists he decided he wanted to be a veterinarian as soon as he was able to say the word. His life has always involved animals, from owning pets to working summers during college at the Oklahoma City Zoo caring for everything from lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!) to cobras and crocodiles, or doing surgery on injured wildlife as one of the only veterinarians in South Carolina licensed to treat endangered hawks, eagles, and owls.
In 1993, Dr. Eisel moved to Naples, FL and in 1996 opened The Animalife Veterinary Center. 22 years later, he is still fascinated with the practice of medicine and considers himself the luckiest man alive for making the decision to pursue veterinary medicine at such a young age: "A man who loves what he does for a living never works a day in his life."
Dr. Eisel is married to Dr. Trudy Eisel, DC, and they have 3 children, 2 grandchildren, 2 dogs and a cats. In his spare time, he restores classic cars, builds hot rods and Craftsman furniture, and competes in triathlons.
