Does My Pet Need Hospice?
Hospice care ensures that terminally ill and/or elderly pets are receiving treatment to keep them relaxed and comfortable during their last months, weeks, or days. This may include comprehensive pain relief, dietary changes, supplements, physical therapy, and other services. We recommend staying in frequent contact to keep us updated on your pet's condition so we can revise their treatment if necessary.
If your pet has deteriorating health but still has time to spend with you, we can offer hospice care to ease them into their final phase of life.
When is Euthanasia the Right Choice for Your Pet?
Your pet's well-being will always be the determining factor for the treatment they should receive. If their condition is quickly declining and they are showing obvious signs of suffering, euthanasia is likely the most humane decision. We do not suggest this step lightly; however, when we do, it's with your pet's best interests in mind.
Our team will be by your side to explain the process and answer any questions you have. Furthermore, we are glad to accommodate your requests and respect your privacy during this time, so that your pet's final moments with your family are special ones.
You are more than welcome to ask about our after-care options; we want to help you remember your pet in the manner that suits them best. Please call us at (239) 513-1777 if you need to consult with us about your pet's end-of-life care.
