Dr. Chris McMonagle is originally from Roseville, California. He graduated from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies and completed his clinical rotations at the University Of Florida College Of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Chris immediately jumped into small animal general practice in Jacksonville, Florida where he treated all creatures great and small—from birds to goats to hermit crabs! Dr. Chris also has a large interest in surgery, and has attended many conferences and continuing education seminars to hone his skills. His favorite surgeries to perform are dental extractions and growth removals.

Outside of work, Dr. Chris enjoys hiking, weightlifting and is currently a work van into a livable space to travel the country with his partner (Dr. Richie, another vet here at Animalife!). They share a German shepherd named Calusa, a Pomeranian named Parmesan and a manx cat named Darwin together.
