Karla is a certified veterinary technician and joined Animalife in March, 2022. Originally from Philadelphia, Karla and her family moved to Naples in 2014.  While growing up in Philadelphia, Karla was always looking after the stray cats in the neighborhood, along with a menagerie of assorted pets of her own. After many years in the restaurant/service industry, Karla earned her AS degree in Veterinary Technology from Manor College in Jenkintown, PA. She worked at several small animal practices in the Philadelphia area while attending school and then went on to continue her career at the University of Pennsylvania as a Veterinary Anesthesia Nurse. While working at the University of Pennsylvania, Karla discovered that she enjoyed critical case anesthesia and also teaching and training students. She became a certified trainer for the university and an externship supervisor for her alma mater. Karla spent 10 years in that position, until her move to Florida. 

She worked as a Veterinary Technician and Training Coordinator at Domestic Animal Services for nearly 8 years before joining the team at Animalife.  Karla holds certification in Pennsylvania and Florida, is Fear Free Shelter Certified and RECOVER CPR Certified. She is continuing her education by pursuing her BAS in Veterinary Technology. Karla is passionate about providing the highest level of care for your pets. 

Karla lives with her husband, and two terrier mixes Sammy and Sparky. She enjoys reading, spending time with family at the beach, and boating. Her and her family remain loyal Eagles and Phillies fans.
